“Hinterland” Edits and New Project

I’ve been quiet lately. Too quiet. Life has been busier than ever but I wanted to update everyone on what’s been going on. After some much needed rest, I’m jumping back into finalizing edits for my debut novel and I’m starting to work on a new project.

Hinterland, my debut horror novel, is in editing as we speak. The amazing team at Quill & Crow Publishing House are working hard to polish my manuscript for publication. Once that’s done, Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) will be available on NetGalley for readers to preview. Keep an eye out for that announcement soon. Hinterland will be released December 6, 2025. As a reminder, preorders are now open.

Sourwood, a gothic horror novel, is currently in the hands of select beta readers. Cover design and editing will begin in the second half of the year. Sourwood is scheduled for publication in March 2026.

The House on Garnet Hill, a gothic romance, is on track for release in January 2027.

Three books in three years (and this is only the beginning)!

I have various projects in the works but I’m hoping to finish at least one novel by the end of the year. I’m currently working on Little Furies, the haunting story of an isolated convent in the desert where men mysteriously go missing after attending a spiritual retreat with their wives. This story is inspired by one of my special interests—desert spirituality.

Desert spirituality was a movement of men and women who escaped the city and moved to the desert to rid themselves of worldly attachments and their personal desires. The Desert Fathers and Mothers practiced solitude, silence, prayer, and fasting to encounter the divine. There are many interesting and otherworldly stories from this movement including demonic encounters.

Little Furies is partially inspired by desert spirituality and the mythology of the Furies—goddesses of vengeance… I’m getting ahead of myself. I don't want to spoil the whole book before I’ve finished it!

As always, I’ve made some images to guide me during the writing process.

Thank you for your time and support. I’ll have more to share shortly!
